Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic and organized Agile Project Manager to lead cross-functional software teams and instill strong agile practices across the organization. In this role, you will act as a servant leader—coaching teams toward self-organization, maximizing velocity, and fostering an open, trustworthy environment.

You will manage short- and long-term goals defined in our roadmaps while coordinating multiple objectives across Allen Media Group subsidiaries, particularly those leveraging the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate balances team-level motivation with strict project governance, proactively raising red flags regarding budgets, timelines, and legal/security risks to executive stakeholders before they impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Focus Area

Core Responsibilities

Agile Coaching & Delivery

• Facilitate core ceremonies and monitor brand processes to increase team efficiency, productivity, and velocity.

• Advocate for self-organization, creative problem-solving, and a non-judgmental team culture.

• Protect the roadmap and shield the team from external distractions to keep them focused on sprint goals.

Project & Governance Management

• Partner with the Program Governance team to oversee and manage scope, timelines, quality, and deliverables.

• Monitor objectives, strategies, and project budgets, protecting priorities.

• Act as an organized multi-tasker, successfully balancing hours and resources across multiple unrelated projects.

Cross-Functional Communication

• Serve as a mediator and primary point of contact across multiple departments and AMG subsidiaries working within GCP.

• Build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

• Communicate transparently with executives and stakeholders, outlining concerns ahead of time to allow for collaborative brainstorming and solutioning.

Experience and QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • Agile Experience: 2–3 years of experience working within an Agile environment.

  • Cloud Ecosystem: 2–3 years of experience working within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.

  • Project Delivery: 3–4 years of experience delivering high-profile internal and external projects (experience with an organizational move to the Cloud is a major plus).

  • Leadership & Toolkit: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead multiple project teams, manage high-performing resources, and balance roadmaps. Proficient with workflow management software like Atlassian (Jira / Confluence).

  • Culture Fit: An upbeat personality with an entrepreneurial spirit, dedicated to helping teams strive for greatness.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Project Management (PMP) or Agile Certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP).

  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial background, specifically with Core Business Reviews (CBR) and Purchase Order (PO) processes.

  • Distributed Teams: Experience working in a cross-functional and/or geographically distributed (remote) organization.

What Success Looks Like in this Role
  • High Team Morale & Autonomy: Teams feel safe, trusted, and empowered to self-organize and solve complex problems.

  • Proactive Risk Mitigation: Executive leadership is never caught off guard by scope creep or budget overruns because you raise "red flags" early and offer solutions.

  • Seamless GCP Alignment: AMG subsidiaries operating on GCP are tightly coordinated, aligned on dependencies, and communicating transparently.
