Job description

Junior Analyst
About the role
Deeter Analytics is a privately held investment research and trading firm managing its own capital across public markets. After years of discretionary success, we think we have some unique ways of seeing the market, and we pair sharp human judgment with modern AI to act on them.
Our trading day runs on rhythm: what reports tonight and how we're positioned, what moved before the open, and how the tape is trading versus the story. We're hiring a Junior Analyst to own that rhythm. Reporting to the senior analyst who anchors our daily markets coverage, you'll keep the desk's picture of the market current, complete, and decision-ready from pre-market through the close - digesting a large flow of information quickly and turning it into concise output the team can act on. It's an entry point into a serious seat: master the daily rhythm, and the role grows with you into deeper research responsibility. The role is full-time and fully remote, on US market hours.
What you'll own
  • The morning picture. The pre-market summary the desk opens the day with - concise, prioritized, and on time every day.
  • The calendar. Earnings and events tracking for the names we own and watch: who reports when (to the minute), how we're positioned, and what matters into the print.
  • Intraday color. Checkpoint notes through the session so the desk always has a current read on the tape.
  • Lists, screens, and alerts. Maintain the desk's watchlists, thematic baskets, and stub positions; set alerts; and build same-day breakdowns and screens when someone needs a question answered.
  • Ad-hoc desk support. Fast, accurate answers under time constraints: data pulls, fact-checks, liquidity and sizing context, and whatever else the day demands.
  • AI leverage. Use modern AI tools to widen your coverage, summarize at scale, and cut noise.
Who you are
We hire for demonstrated judgment and how you think, not for pedigree. This is a junior seat, so we don't expect a markets résumé. The best evidence usually comes from wherever you've already performed at a high standard - we look for signs that you are:
  • Obsessed with markets. You follow earnings season, watch the tape, and read market commentary because you want to, not because a job requires it.
  • A fast, accurate processor. Handed a large flow of data points, rules, and constraints, you can fit the right answer to them quickly and completely.
  • Detail-obsessed. Recurring deliverables ship complete, correct, and on time; small details don't slip.
  • A crisp communicator. You compress a messy flow of information into exactly what someone needs to know, now.
  • Low ego and coachable. You take feedback well, update quickly when the facts change, and care more about the answer than the credit.
  • Calm at market speed. Volume and real-time pressure sharpen you rather than rattle you.
How you work
  • On the market's clock. The day starts pre-market and follows a set rhythm of deliverables; you're reliable at every checkpoint, every day.
  • Signal over noise. You're relentless about filtering, surfacing the few things that matter rather than forwarding everything.
  • Fast and exact. You operate at the speed of the tape without letting accuracy slip.
  • AI-native. Fluent with modern AI tools and able to get real leverage from them for monitoring, summarizing, and triage.
  • Self-directed. You thrive working remotely with low guardrails, managing your own time and flagging what needs attention without being asked.
Core skills
  • Markets fluency. A working understanding of equities: tickers, earnings mechanics, analyst ratings, and a feel for how news moves prices.
  • Information triage. Separating what matters from what doesn't, fast, across a high-volume flow of news, data, and commentary.
  • Synthesis at speed. Turning that flow into clean, concise, prioritized briefs under time pressure.
  • Working with data. Comfortable building and maintaining the lists, screens, and breakdowns that answer real questions same-day.
  • Tooling and AI workflows. Using monitoring, alerting, and summarization workflows to cover more ground than one person otherwise could.
What we offer
  • A seat inside a live trading operation, with a direct line to the traders and researchers who act on your work.
  • A well-capitalized firm with a distinctive approach to markets.
  • A deliberate growth path: own the daily rhythm first, then take on deeper research responsibility as you prove out.
  • A small, low-ego, fully remote team.
  • Compensation: $100k - $150k + bonus.
