Overview:
DESCRIPTION:
The position of System Administrator is established to perform LAN/WAN (Local Area Network and Wide Area Network) projects involving the design, analysis, maintenance and implementation of equipment and networks and perform system administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights to various systems and applications.
  • Ensure data backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
  • Conduct routine system maintenance, including applying patches, updates, and security configurations.
  • Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide technical support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, hardware, and software to improve system performance and security.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in system administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Technology, degree, or relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a system administrator or similar role.(1-2 years of Experience)
  • Microsoft Operating Systems 2008R2 to 2012 R2, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Cisco ASA firewall technology and Cisco switching and routing
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection
  • VMware 5.5 including VLAN and Enterprise Plus features
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with users and IT staff effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
