Restaurant Depot is the nation’s leading members-only, wholesale cash-and-carry supplier serving independent restaurants, caterers, delis, convenience stores, and other food service businesses across 165+ locations in 35 states. Our facilities handle high-volume distribution of food, beverage, & equipment products to support the operational needs of small businesses. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented Jr Logistics Analyst to support transportation performance, data analysis, & logistics optimization across our network.



Position Summary

The Jr Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting logistics operations through data analysis, reporting, & process improvement initiatives. This role works closely with transportation, warehouse, & corporate teams to analyze shipping activity, monitor performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, & support solutions that improve delivery performance, reduce costs, & enhance overall supply chain efficiency

.The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, & highly organized with a strong interest in logistics, transportation, & supply chain operations. This individual should be comfortable working with data, identifying trends, & collaborating cross-functionally to support operational improvements.


Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations & Support

  • Support daily logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, routing, & shipment tracking
  • Assist in coordinating inbound & outbound shipments to ensure timely & accurate deliveries
  • Monitor transportation activity & address operational issues or delays
  • Support communication with carriers, distribution centers, & internal teams regarding shipment status
  • Assist in maintaining accurate logistics records, documentation, & system updates


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze transportation & logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, & cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare & maintain reports related to freight costs, delivery performance, & service levels
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, transit times, & freight spend
  • Assist in developing dashboards & reports to support operational decision-making
  • Identify discrepancies in logistics data & support reconciliation efforts


Carrier & Vendor Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating with carriers, freight providers, & third-party logistics partners
  • Support carrier performance tracking & evaluation
  • Help resolve delivery issues, service failures, & freight discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of carrier rates, contracts, & service performance
  • Support communication between internal teams & external logistics partners


Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, & increase efficiency
  • Support route optimization, load planning, & transportation strategies
  • Assist in evaluating current logistics processes & recommending improvements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across logistics & supply chain operations
  • Support implementation of standard operating procedures & best practices


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with warehouse, inventory, purchasing, & operations teams to ensure alignment across the supply chain
  • Support coordination between distribution centers & transportation teams
  • Communicate logistics performance, issues, & opportunities to stakeh holders
  • Assist with resolving cross-functional operational challenges related to transportation & delivery
  • Provide support for ad hoc logistics projects & initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field pr
  • eferred0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic data analysis
  • Experience working with logistics, transportation, or ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational & communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Experience analyzing operational data & performance metrics
  • Exposure to distribution, wholesale, or high-volume environments
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
