Job Summary:
INflow Federal is a mission-driven small business delivering cutting-edge solutions to the Department of War and Joint Force operations. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support Machine Learning initiatives and empower DoD customers with innovative AI/ML solutions, focusing on data management and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
โข Automate and optimize service deployments
โข Integrate with enterprise authentication services
โข Establish and Improve system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within development, test, and production systems.
โข Architect, build and maintain On-Prem and cloud infrastructure to support team and customer initiatives
โข Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc.)
โข Administer production, staging and development environments
โข Manage and aggregate server logs and monitor for security and system related incidents
โข Monitor and analyze system performance, such as server load and resource usage
โข Maintain and improve existing build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools
โข Apply configuration management disciplines to maintain software revisions, security patches, hardening, and documentation
โข Enforce best practices for security and reliability, and drive security initiatives, like access control and vulnerability testing
โข Work with A&A Teams to maintain security requirements for operation of systems
โข Maintain documentation of designs/configurations, ensuring team members have continuity of recurring tasks
โข Follow up on engineering tasks for operational solutions, and validate completion
โข Manage operational readiness board โ present at weekly meetings and determine if development services are ready for automation based on best practices and maintainability
โข Track and ensure routine operations maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner
โข Participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings
Qualifications:
Required:
โข Experience working with container images and platforms (Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift)
โข Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes
โข Understanding of GitLab or other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools
โข Understanding of microservice design and architectural pattern best practices
โข Understanding of Python, Bash, and Shell scripting
โข Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, virtual and physical infrastructure design
โข Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
โข Strong communication and interpersonal skills
โข Must possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised
โข Experience with deploying On-Prem infrastructure
โข 2+ years of relevant experience
โข Active DoD TS/SCI
โข Must have valid driverโs license and transportation
โข Candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
โข Must have willingness to perform duties not listed in the job description as required by INflow and our customer.
โข Candidates must be US Citizens to be considered for employment.
Preferred:
โข Experience in building processes for deploying to a Kubernetes based environment using Gitlab and Helm
โข Understanding of access management and security groups (i.e. IAM, S3 bucket, SSH, VPN, etc.)
โข Ability to write and use unit and functional testing
โข Experience using Jira and Confluence
