Job description

Description:

The Junior ServiceNow Developer will support the development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities supporting HHS financial management modernization initiatives. This role will work under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads while contributing to Agile development teams delivering custom business applications and process automation solutions.

The Junior Developer will participate in software development activities throughout the application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, and automation solutions.

•Participate in Agile sprint activities and support user story implementation.

•Assist with application configuration, customization, and testing.

•Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

•Support defect identification, troubleshooting, and resolution activities.

•Assist with platform upgrades and application deployments.

•Create technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge articles.

•Support data imports, integrations, and system configuration activities.

•Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support.

•Assist with monitoring application performance and system health.

•Support security compliance activities and remediation efforts.

•Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.

•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process modernization efforts.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

•1–3 years of software development experience.

•1+ year of ServiceNow development, administration, or platform support experience.

•Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web application development.

•Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
