Primary focus is to complete Universal upgrades and GTM implementations, but then follow up on data collection and reporting tweaking once complete, then move on to enhancement/additional data collection.ย 

Responsible for development oversight, implementation and maintenance of the organization's website analytics platform. Will ensures that the website data collections meet the business needs of the organization. Role will specifically be using the Google Analytics platform, assisting in Universal code upgrades as well as updates via Google Tag Manager.ย 

Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of other developers.ย 

Role will report into the Web Analytics Manager, with direct oversight and support of developer work specific to code related to the web analytics platform.ย 

Main responsibilities include:ย 

Manage implementation/deployment of tracking tags across websites, from initial setup to associated tool configurationsย 

Partner with development teams to define data collection strategy and deployment coordination across sites and platforms, including data layersย 

Implement and update 3rd party tags associated to analytics platforms, testing, usability, SEO, SEM, etc for collecting and reporting on web activityย 

Test, audit and verify tags are implemented properย 

Work collaboratively with front and back end development teams to deliver and release tagging updates into production environments

Work with vendors to resolve tracking discrepanciesย 

Run regression testing for code review and data/tagging auditsย 

Skills & platform experience required includes:ย 

  • Javascript/jQuery and visualization librariesย 
  • HTML/HTML5ย 
  • CSS/CSS3ย 
  • W3C DOM methods and propertiesย 
  • 3+ years maintenance experience tagging and configuring web analytics solutions/platformsย

  • a. Position will work with, support, and guide a team of developers on analytics code updates across various site platforms, but those developer teams will report into their said site development manager that support all site code, not just analytics - there are no dedicated development teams to "manage" or "lead" directly

a. Primary focus is to complete Universal upgrades and GTM implementations, but then follow up on data collection and reporting tweaking once complete, then move on to enhancement/additional data collection.

a. Current is only 2 months at full time, but we have a part-time developer position through next year that if working and performing well, we'd extend out into next year for part-time work. We're working to try to get this as a full time position, but that is not set or guaranteed at this time.ย 

This position can be remote. There will be coordination calls that will be required during regular business days typically with those various developers and teams.ย
