ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment including complicated electronic/electrical systems and data handling equipment.
  • Work with leadership to schedule and layout work, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and repair/replace worn or damaged parts associated with CNC/EDM machinery, pumps, circuit boards, and water filtration systems.
  • Able to perform difficult work in maintaining plant properties such as buildings, machinery and equipment, etc., where moderate skill in more than one trade is required.
  • May supervise and/or train one or more team members, as necessary.
  • Work with contractors and suppliers in the planning and installation of repairs, installation and/or rearrangement of machinery or equipment as well as machine tool builders for repair/maintenance work on equipment and facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Journeyman Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting various types of equipment.
  • Experience in electrical repair.
  • Familiar with schematics, ladder logic, and blueprint reading.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, highly motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Will be required to become NFPA 70B certified in Electrical Awareness training.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial lift license.
  • Must be able to complete first aid/CPR training to be qualified as a first responder.
  • Must be able to safely operate a multimeter, basic hand tools and other testing equipment.
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

DESIRED CHARECTERISTICS

  • Basic computer navigation skills.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
