Position Specific Description

Join the I&C maintenance team as we restart Duane Arnold Energy Center—a groundbreaking effort to return a decommissioned nuclear plant to service. This position is located in Palo, Iowa.

Job Overview Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Installs, alters, inspects, calibrates, maintains and repairs controls and instruments
  • Repairs, replaces or modifies all instrument lines downstream of an instrument rack isolation and instrument air lines to I&C equipment
  • Prepares and analyzes test and equipment performance reports and keep operation and maintenance records
  • May be assigned to a multidisciplined team on a rotational basis, such as Fix It Now (FIN) or Outage Teams
  • May operate a variety of hand tools, instruments, machines and equipment to close tolerance and fabricate minor repair parts
  • Applies knowledge of required reports, quality control, maintenance procedures, documentation and NRC requirements
  • Performs personal health physical coverage
  • Performs peer inspections
  • May be assigned fire brigade, as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Experience: 3 years of related working experience in one or more crafts
  • Possess a high degree of dexterity and ability
  • Capable of learning and applying basic skills in maintenance operations
  • Pass the Maintenance Positions Selection System (MASS) Aptitude Exam
