Journeyman Electrician – Albuquerque, NM

GMEA Electrical Services

Position Summary

GMEA Electrical Services is actively hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role requires a highly skilled electrician who can work independently, lead crews when needed, and serve as a key resource for field leadership while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.

Candidates should be comfortable working on large-scale projects and traveling wherever company projects require.

Responsibilities
  • Install electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Lead by example and help drive jobsite productivity.
  • Mentor apprentices and assist in developing field personnel.
  • Coordinate work activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
  • Assist with crew leadership, task delegation, and project execution.
  • Review plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper installation.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
  • Identify potential issues and communicate solutions to project leadership.
  • Support successful project completion through teamwork and accountability.
  • Travel throughout Florida and other states as project needs require.
Qualifications
  • Active Journeyman Electrician license.
  • 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Conveyer experience preferred.
  • Experience working on large commercial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or similar projects.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to motivate team members and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
