Location: Boston, MA (hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: Base Salary, Plus Commission

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive Joule’s growth within the Scientific and Clinical staffing markets. In this role, you will develop and expand client relationships, open new lines of business, and work closely with hiring leaders to provide high‑quality, timely staffing solutions. If you enjoy building trust, uncovering opportunities, and influencing decision makers, this role offers strong autonomy, earning potential, and advancement opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and securing SOW‑based projects and staffing needs from targeted clients
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of qualified accounts, ensuring consistent growth and client retention
  • Expand revenue within existing clients through additional hiring needs and deeper account penetration
  • Proactively prospect and engage new contacts to elevate Joule’s visibility and uncover new opportunities
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to strengthen relationships and anticipate upcoming demand
  • Deliver electronic, virtual, and phone presentations tailored to client needs
  • Develop creative outreach and marketing strategies that differentiate Joule in a competitive market
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure strong delivery, client satisfaction, and repeat business
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 5 or more years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in staffing, consulting, or a similar solutions‑driven environment
  • Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, maintain a strong pipeline, and consistently deliver against goals
