This role is ideal for someone with hands-on ironworking experience-particularly with rigging, crane operations, and structural assembly-who enjoys physical work, takes pride in precision, and wants a long-term opportunity with growth potential. You'll be assembling large-scale steel plenums in a fast-paced production environment, with the opportunity to advance into a Team Lead role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble steel plenums and prepare materials for fabrication and shipping
- Operate power tools including saws, drills, grinders, and nail guns safely and efficiently
- Read tape measures accurately and mark steel for cuts, drilling, and assembly
- Perform grinding and cleaning of metal surfaces to meet quality standards
- Load, stack, move, and organize steel materials and tools throughout the work area
- Follow rigging procedures, hand signals, and crane safety protocols when applicable
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous ironworking, steel fabrication, or similar hands-on construction/manufacturing experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16"
- Experience using power tools in a production or construction setting
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights when needed
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (including marijuana)
Preferred:
- Experience with rigging, crane operations, and hand signals
- Ability to read basic part prints or shop drawings
- Previous experience in industrial or data center environments
