Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greets Gift Shop customers and makes note of specific customer requests.

Handles sales transactions including running cash register, credit card machine and processing payroll deductions.

Schedules volunteers for weekly shifts.

Checks stock for expiration dates and removes outdated merchandise.

Maintains the appearance of the Gift Shop so that it is neat and clutter-free.

Helps create and maintain attractive sales displays.

Accepts deliveries from vendors and checks in merchandise.

Forwards all invoices to Guild Treasurer for payment.

Inputs merchandise into inventory system to generate pricing labels and puts pricing labels per code on merchandise.

Notifies supervisor of any out-of-stock items and orders merchandise as needed with approval.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health.

Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous retail experience preferred.

SCHEDULE:


Monday- 8 hour shift, Tuesday- 4 hour shift, Friday 4 hour shift.
Available 32 Hours per two-week pay period. Will work as needed.
