Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Analyst to join a retail organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position helps leaders make informed decisions by transforming financial, operational, and business information into meaningful analysis and reporting. The role combines data oversight, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to support planning, presentations, and ongoing business review activities. Due to the nature of the work and onsite requirements, preference will be given to Hawaii residents. Applicants should be able to reliably commute or reside within the region to meet business needs. Responsibilities:

• Examine financial and operating data to uncover patterns, measure performance, and support management decision-making

• Create clear reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical models that translate complex information into practical business insights

• Monitor core retail indicators, including sales activity, customer volume, labor spending, and inventory movement

• Prepare materials for recurring business reviews, leadership discussions, board reporting, and lender-facing presentations

• Compile information from various sources and validate its completeness, consistency, and reliability before reporting

• Partner with teams across the organization as well as external contacts to gather information and align reporting needs

• Provide interpretation during Japanese and English meetings and translate business documents and reports accurately

• Maintain strong data governance practices by safeguarding sensitive information and supporting data integrity in reporting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline
• At least 1 year of experience in finance, business analysis, or operational analysis
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and communicate findings effectively
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and database tools
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
• Fluency in Japanese and English, including speaking, reading, and writing
• Experience supporting reporting, performance analysis, or business review processes in a structured environment
