Job description

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Product Data Analyst to join the Deposit & Lending Services Department. 

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is $46,000 - $100,000/yr; commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their skill level and experience.

The ideal candidate will have: 

Minimum Qualifications (Product Data Analyst II level):

  • 3 years experience in banking, marketing, financial sales, data analytics and/or related field required

Minimum Qualifications (Product Data Analyst III level):

  • 5 years experience in banking, marketing, financial sales, data analytics and/or related field required

Requirements for all candidates:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Marketing or related field required 
  • 1 years' experience in banking, marketing, financial sales, data analytics and/or related field required
  • Experience with advanced Excel tools including pivot tables, macros and complex charting required
  • Previous experience with databases (Oracle, MS SQLServer, MS Access), business intelligence software, extracting, interpreting and analyzing data 
  • Exposure to the R modeling environment, scripting and automation experience a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in finance or banking a plus 
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential for interacting with all levels of staff and management and external vendors
  • Demonstrated analytical, planning and problem-solving skills essential. 
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data retrieval.
  • Possesses high attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities and work under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Must be able to handle confidential matters judiciously
  • Good time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
     

Serve as portfolio analyst for the Deposit & Lending Services Department. Performs detailed analytics to determine trend, formulate recommendations and identify opportunities to enhance profitability, reduce costs, increase market share or improve operational efficiency.  Develops reports and dashboards to assist with tracking key performance metrics. This position will assist the department with the development, marketing and promotion of deposit and loan products and services.
