Job description

Job Summary:
KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a mission-level combat modeler to join their team, where you will make recommendations regarding military utility and feasibility based on mission-level modeling and simulation.
Responsibilities:
• Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
• Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
• The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analyses with AFSIM
• Experience in DoD space and/or joint force programs
• High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
• An active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
• Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
• Experience with Python, OptDef, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java
• Experience with data transformations and data visualization
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with BI Tools
• Experience with Excel VBA
