What this job involves:

The Project Manager will serve as an on-site JLL representative supporting the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) facility in San Antonio, TX, as part of JLL's Project & Development Services team dedicated to the Toyota account. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of capital construction and renovation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining strict compliance with Toyota's construction safety requirements (TCSR) and site protocols. The Project Manager will work closely with the Toyota account leadership team, general contractors, architects/engineers, and plant stakeholders to advance projects from planning through closeout.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage assigned capital projects and studies at the TMMTX plant from initiation through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for contractors, architects/engineers, and Toyota plant stakeholders on active projects.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports; escalate risks and delay drivers proactively.

  • Ensure full compliance with Toyota Construction Safety Requirements (TCSR), including D-form approvals, personnel certifications, and on-site presence requirements.

  • Lead or support bid leveling, contractor selection, and change order review and negotiation.

  • Prepare and deliver project status materials (executive summaries, budget/schedule updates, progress photos) for weekly and monthly account reporting.

  • Coordinate with the Toyota account team on cross-project scheduling conflicts, including concurrent or overlapping high-risk activities.

  • Maintain accurate project data in JLL's project management systems (currently Adaptive Work, transitioning to a new platform, with the Toyota client separately adopting Procore).

  • Support TERA (Toyota Event Response Andon) processes as needed for the assigned facility.

  • Travel periodically to other Toyota account locations and JLL team meetings as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in project management for commercial, industrial, or manufacturing construction projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, client-ready status reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of construction safety programs; familiarity with Toyota TCSR standards.

  • Proficiency with project scheduling and budgeting tools; experience with Adaptive Work, Procore, or similar platforms.

  • PMP certification.
