As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jewelry Repair and Manufacturing Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Jewelry Repair and Manufacturing Manager actively leads the day-to-day operations of the repair center while working to develop and implement best practices, deliver quality repairs, drive incremental sales, and increase overall profitability and repair margins. This position is also responsible for the hiring, and training of all employees, inventory management, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the business including, but not limited to scheduling, hiring, training, inventory, repairs, design, manufacturing, and equipment.
  • Manage the full repair process of all jobs, including quality control to ensure quality craftsmanship and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure there is strong communication of repair details, costs, and delivery timeframes to all internal and external accounts.
  • Evaluate daily repairpart needs, oversee order activity, and sustain productive relationships with all vendors.
  • Manage and maintain all equipment, inventory, and business costs to increase margins and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and develop all staff needed to maintain a positive business flow and team development.
  • Attend and participate in corporate meetings, and others as requested.
  • Travel as needed, including visiting Ben Bridge stores when time allows.
  • Perform the tasks and skillsets at a minimum of ‘B’ Level Jeweler.
  • Set and achieve sales/margin and external account performance goals.
  • Innovate and research new and beneficial equipment, technology, and processes to grow design and repair capabilities.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate in a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of operational management experience in a jewelry repair center
  • Minimum 5+ years goldsmith bench experience
  • GIA Gemology training a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills preferred
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) skills preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, stores, and the corporate office at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities

Working Standards:

  • Onsite presence required each day of the standard workweek
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Able to perform tasks that require manual dexterity and precise hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish fine details, colors and textures under magnification

Range: $95,000 - $143,000 per year

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
