About the Role >> The Brake Press Operator will operate assigned equipment for work orders in a safe and productive manner at the discretion of the department lead. If you're a team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, we'd like to meet you! Second shift hours are 3:45 p.m. - 1:45 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities >>
  • Insert and remove metal material in a variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure product meets or exceeds customer specifications.
  • Reviews work orders and follows process specifications to avoid costly errors.
  • Follows all safety steps and procedures to ensure safe equipment operation.
  • May include standing or sitting, operating other hand tools including sanders, grinders, and forklifts upon completion of training.

Qualifications/Skills >>
  • Knowledge in set up and operation of press brake equipment, advanced understanding of blueprint dimensions and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and coworkers; assist others with equipment operating problems; understand and follow job routing instructions; knowledge of fixtures, tools, and gauges to measure tolerances and mechanical skills in troubleshooting equipment to produce parts to print.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and preventive maintenance of equipment, unreadable or print issues take to Q.C.
