Envelope Press Operator

Locations: Malvern, PA, Newington, CT & Syracuse, NY

1st Shift – Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

2nd shift – Monday – Thursday from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM (Syracuse, NY Only)


Job Overview

We are now hiring an Envelope Jet Press Operator to help us continue our growth. If you are excited to be part of a winning team, Dupli is a perfect place to get ahead.


Responsibilities

  • Read instructions for the job and set up the press for efficient operation and quality output.
  • Make job ready by running to adjust print quality, hanging plates, mixing inks, and loading/repacking paper.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production problems to ensure proper safety standards are maintained and keep the press in optimal running condition.
  • Monitor ink and adjust when necessary to ensure consistency throughout the entire press run.
  • Ensure efficient size change modifications are correct.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.


Other Functions

  • Pull stock for operation and replace the unused stock in the designated area.
  • Assist other operators with challenging jobs.
  • Maintain machines and a clean work environment; follow proper safety procedures and safely perform all job duties.
  • Perform other functions as required.


Qualifications

  • Offset printing experience is preferred but will consider training interested candidates.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Able to perform basic mathematical skills including the use of measurement systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of feeding and delivery systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects; approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Customer service-oriented and dependable, with the ability to work well under pressure in an environment full of deadlines, providing accurate output.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Lifting: Regularly lift 25 lbs. waist-high; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Mobility: Must be able to stand for long durations; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching required.
  • Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, ink, paper dust, and variable temperatures in a warehouse setting.
  • Equipment Use: Frequent use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools.


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of printing press operations.
  • Ability to read job specifications and use measuring instruments (e.g., rulers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

Preferred Experience
