Cleveland Clinic Florida is seeking a Regional Medical Director for the Division of Urgent and Express Care to provide clinical and operational leadership across our established urgent care locations in Sebastian and Stuart, FL. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician leader who is passionate about high-quality, patient-centered care and interested in shaping the future of urgent care delivery within one of the nation's most respected healthcare organizations.

This includes maintaining an active clinical practice while influencing strategy, operations, and team development across the region. Schedule is 40 hour per week with some weekend coverage.

Position Highlights

  • 40 HPW including weekend coverage
  • Oversight of two Urgent Care locations along Florida's Treasure Coast
  • Direct reporting structure to the Enterprise Chair of the Division of Urgent and Express Cares
  • Collaborate closely with APP managers, nursing leadership, ambulatory operations, and executive leadership
  • Opportunity to recruit, mentor, and develop physicians and APPs
  • Emphasis on quality, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Supported by the infrastructure, stability, and reputation of Cleveland Clinic

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, planning, organization, staffing, and coordination for Urgent Care services within the region
  • Foster an environment of high-quality care, excellent patient experience, and continuous improvement
  • Supervise Urgent Care physicians and APPs in their clinical duties
  • Participate in physician recruitment and hiring
  • Ensure ethical medical practice and adherence to Cleveland Clinic standards
  • Partner with ambulatory operations and nursing leadership on workflow, staffing, and scheduling
  • Oversee equitable physician schedules across sites, including backup/jeopardy coverage
  • Provide input into operations, staffing models, supplies, and budget planning
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly leadership meetings as directed by Division leadership

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine (required)
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
