As a member of the JCPenney Pro Team, the Makeup Artist serves as a brand ambassador, educator, content creator, and industry expert who elevates the customer experience through artistry, education, and innovation. This role partners with internal teams and brand partners to deliver world-class education, create engaging digital content, support marketing initiatives, and represent JCPenney Beauty at events across the country.

Beauty Pro Manager: Requirements
• Expert Makeup Artist with advanced technical, creative, and artistic expertise across multiple makeup disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in beauty industry, including a minimum of 2 years in education, training, and artistic leadership.
• Demonstrated mastery of makeup artistry across all skin tones, skin types, ages, and facial shapes with expertise in beauty, bridal, runway, editorial, photography, and trend-driven artistry.
• Passion for innovation with the ability to identify beauty trends and translate them into compelling customer experiences and educational content.
• Professional portfolio highlighting exceptional makeup artistry across diverse range of skin tones, makeup styles, and creative techniques.

Portfolio & Demonstration Requirements
• Professional portfolio required, displaying advanced artistry, technical expertise, creative versatility, and work across diverse skin tones and makeup styles.
• Candidates must submit a content reel that reflects strong presentation skills, confidence on-camera, and the ability to educate, engage, and inspire both professional and consumer audiences.
Job Responsibilities
• Acts as a brand ambassador, promoting Beauty brand awareness internally and externally through activations, such as, photo shoots, training videos, PR, trade shows, social media, and events. Attends and participates in Beauty brand and industry events as an ambassador to JCPenney.
• Demonstrates expert-level beauty artistry and deep technical knowledge. Capable of creating and teaching looks and services with a deep understanding of current design and color trends.
• Partners and advises with Beauty on service artistry. Provides input and feedback on potential Beauty service opportunities. Brings together Beauty industry innovation and services that aligns with our diverse JCPenney customer.
• Oversee a select group of local stores providing support through training, masterclasses, and events while actively driving sales and brand engagement.
• Exhibits passion and commitment to the Beauty industry earning wide respect as a Beauty Professional. Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. For example, takes timely action on important or difficult issues. Identifies and pursues new opportunities that benefit the organization.
• Participates in Train the Trainer sessions. Demonstrates and advises on product use and technique.

Travel
• Role requires up to 80% travel. Must be comfortable with frequent travel schedules that may include consecutive weeks.

Pay Range
USD $81,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
