Familiarity with tools such as TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and scheduling systems like CA-7 or Control-M is essential, along with an understanding of COBOL or other mainframe programming languages. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills set top performers apart. These competencies are crucial to ensure efficient job scheduling, error resolution, and smooth integration of mainframe processes in large-scale enterprise IT systems.
