About the Role
The Brand Designer develops and executes creative concepts that bring established brand strategies to life through visual storytelling, campaign development, and integrated marketing assets across multiple channels. As a member of the Creative Services team, this role works closely with the Design Manager and Art Directors while collaborating with Brand Marketing, Channel Marketing, DTC, and other internal partners to understand defined project goals and deliver creative work that supports established business and marketing objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong design craft with effective communication skills, working knowledge of branding and marketing, and the ability to develop concepts for assigned projects within established brand strategy, brand guidelines, and provided creative direction.
What You Will Do
  • Develop and execute creative concepts for assigned projects based on established brand strategy, campaign direction, and Art Director guidance.
  • Work with requestors and project managers to understand defined project requirements and objectives.
  • Apply established brand strategy and campaign direction to creative work across digital, retail, social, email, presentations, advertising, and other marketing channels.
  • Identify straightforward gaps or questions within assigned projects and work with internal partners, Project Managers, and Art Directors to resolve them.
  • Present creative concepts and design approaches, explain the rationale behind the work, and incorporate requestor feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager and Art Directors on assigned projects, seeking additional guidance when work requires new, unfamiliar, or more complex creative direction.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools and modern creative workflows to support concept exploration, and asset development.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • Four or more years of professional design experience supporting consumer-facing brands, marketing teams, or creative organizations.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and design execution across campaigns, visual storytelling, and multiple marketing channels.
  • Experience using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, to develop and execute creative work.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand project requirements, present work, and incorporate feedback.
  • Ability to develop creative concepts and carry assigned design projects of moderate scope from brief through execution with general direction.
  • Ability to evaluate straightforward design challenges and recommend appropriate solutions using experience, established practices, and brand standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly explain creative concepts and design rationale.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assigned projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and brand consistency.

Bonus Points if You Have
  • Experience working with premium consumer, technology, lifestyle, or audio brands.
  • Experience supporting global brands and adapting established campaigns for regional or channel-specific needs.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, animation, or presentation design.
  • Experience working within established design systems, brand guidelines, templates, or reusable creative frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled creative tools and workflows used for concept exploration, asset development, versioning, or production efficiency.

What Makes You Eligible
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant digital and print design work must be submitted with the application.
  • Must reside in the United States and be able to work from the Carlsbad, CA office 3+ times per week.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English to understand project briefs, clarify production details, discuss feedback, and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer).
