Position Description: Technical Director

Start Date:

Reports to: Worship Pastor

Hours: 12 hours @ $29/hr

Work Format:

  • In-office: Tuesday (2 hrs), Thursday (5 hrs), Sunday (5 hrs), Additional Hours as needed

The identity of Epicentre Church is that we are all sons and daughters of the Father who have a passion for Jesus and His purpose in the earth. Epicentre's worship culture is primed to lead people to behold Jesus through clear vision, training, streamlined systems, timely communication, and joyful support.

The Technical Director's role is to leverage technologies, lead the Production/Creative Arts Team in use of technologies, and support the Worship Ministry in leading Epicentre Church and its body to experience their identity as sons and daughters.

The Win:
Disciple (teach, lead, and direct) volunteer team members and staff to leverage technology (Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Livestreaming) to help the church body Encounter God through use of technology, both in person and online, through Sunday Services and other corporate gatherings.

Desired Outcomes (Core Responsibilities):

The Technical Director

  • Ensures that week to week Sunday Services, monthly Hope Rooms, annual World Mandate Los Angeles regional conference, and other corporate gatherings are executed properly on a technical and logistical basis.
  • Disciples (Identifies, recruits, trains, and leads) the Tech team that consistently provides excellent, reliable, and distraction-free worship experience, empowering the Team and the congregation to Encounter God in corporate gatherings.
  • Equipping for other ministries so that the individual ministries are able to provide Audio, Video, Lighting, and Livestreaming for their own ministries.


Anointed Fit: Ideal Profile

We are seeking someone with:

  • Audio: Highly skilled with live, broadcast or livestreaming, and recording audio engineering principles and workflow. Must have strong knowledge in digital console workflow, along with coordination for multiple wireless mics and in-ear monitor systems.
  • Leadership & Training: Experienced in gathering, training, and building volunteer teams to steward their giftings in the life of the church. Must have clear communication skills to explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to staff and volunteers alike.
  • Visual: Proficient with ProPresenter presentation software. Skilled with various livestreaming hardware, including cameras and camcorders, streaming devices, and platforms, especially YouTube.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly under pressure.
  • Physical Readiness & Logistics: Skilled in organizing and managing portable A/V setups, with the ability to lift up to fifty (50) lbs. Must be able to deploy small scale Portable Audio and Video systems as directed.
