What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and manage CNC machines to perform jobs such as turning, drilling, grinding, and milling
- Select, position, and secure clamps/jaws, tooling, cutters, and fixtures using measuring tools and hand tools
- Produce quality parts using HAAS machines in a low-volume, high-setup environment
- Run multiple pieces of equipment at the same time based on production needs
- Translate engineering drawings into production dimensions
- Inspect and measure work using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other instruments
- Operate machines to fabricate non-metallic materials when needed
- Work overtime as required, including occasional weekend shifts
What We're Looking For
- CNC setup or operation experience on lathes or mills
- Able to read and comprehend blueprints
- Change, touch-off, and indicate tools for CNC machines
- Lift up to 50 lbs., and stand and walk about 90% of the day in a shop environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
What Sets You Apart
- Experience running HAAS machines in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Ability to efficiently manage and operate multiple machines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail in inspection and measurement processes
- Versatility in working with both metal and non-metallic materials
- Ability to manipulate G-Code programs, adjust work offsets, and tool offsets
Where and When You'll Work:
- This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
