The Countermeasure and Electromagnetic Attack (CEMA) business area has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. As a Senior Software Engineer in the CEMA Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) product line, you will be an integrated team member collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Firmware engineers in one or more of the phases of project planning, design, coding, and testing in an agile environment. You will apply your software development skills to create high quality applications or real time embedded software, in C or C++, utilizing sound object-oriented principles, for either new or fielded electronics platforms. You may be assisting in the evaluation of Electronic Warfare software to identify design or coding flaws. You may be utilizing either a Windows- or Linux-based software development environment where you develop tools or integrate and test on embedded target environments that will include the latest technologies. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Current Secret clearance.
* Four or more years of C/C++ design and programming experience (Windows applications and embedded application development in Linux).
* Familiar with producing documents associated with software releases.
* Familiar with low-level software interfacing with firmware or hardware, object-oriented design, and embedded.
* Familiar with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Qt Creator, and Visual Studio. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Experience in developing electronic warfare software.
* Experience using Git, Eclipse, AMD/Xilinx SDK.
* Experience using Libero, SoftConsole for Microchip SF2.
* Experience using DevSecOps approach and tools supporting it.
* Experience using Agile methods.
* Organized, communicates well, a team player, able to lead a small technical team. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
