About this position: Java Developer Senior Location - Beavercreek, OH

Wage/Salary Range: $75k- 160k

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, refactor, test and maintain new features and improve existing code base using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Ext JS, JUnit, Java GUI Libraries (SWT, AWT) and Eclipse.

Platform Development
  • Work with data models (model fields, natural keys, relationships, UDFs) and implement corresponding Java model classes following the platform's ORM conventions
  • Build and maintain inbound and outbound interfaces for integration with external systems (ERP, carrier APIs, EDI partners), implementing correct chunking, NK resolution, and error handling patterns
  • Implement IXM engine tasks for computationally intensive parallel processing, following the statelessness requirements of the Computational Grid
  • Configure and manage approval routes and approval plans for multi-stop, multi-role approval workflows across enterprise boundaries

Work with UI technologies.
  • Build User-Defined Page (UDP) components in ExtJS or React that consume the platform's Model API REST endpoints (ReadByKey, Search, ExecuteAction)
  • Handle error responses correctly in all UDP code: inspect errors [] on HTTP 200 responses, display field-level and record-level errors, and relay user warnings appropriately
  • Implement J2EE concepts (RESTful Web services and MVC pattern) using various SDKs
  • Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures using Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Debug identified system problems submitted via JIRA issues, update and manage requirement documents.
  • Work with integration frameworks including EDI, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP etc.
  • Merge code between different branches and manage revisions using git.
  • Lead code reviews with a focus on architecture, security, and long-term maintainability. Distinguish blockers from suggestions. Identify gaps, explain concepts, and help reviewees grow.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Level of Experience Requirements: Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or Related Experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Hold or have the ability to acquire a government security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Expert level in Java programming, JavaScript
  • Experience in Cloud and CI/CD tooling / architecture
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a product team
