Position Description:  

This position's main responsibility will be in supporting MDOT Real Estate Permit Systems. The systems involved but are not limited to are 1) the Construction Permit System (CPS) - allows for construction or other intrusion into right-of-way or roads MDOT is responsible for and 2) Internet Highway Advertising Program (IHAP) - allows the public and billboard owners to receive billboard permits in the state of Michigan. This position will be the lead systems analyst supporting the systems.    


Skills Required:  

Experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment including JBOSS Workflow and Drools Business Rules engine. Experience developing complex computer systems using JAVA. Experience developing complex computer systems using java IDEs such as Eclipse. Experience programming in SQL and/or PL/SQL. Experience programming in projects using Spring and Struts framework. Experience programming in projects using Hibernate/JPA framework. Experience participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices. Experience developing adhoc reports using Business Objects Designer    

   Experience Required:  

Software Engineer capabilities with 10 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.    

Education Required:  

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field    


Education Preferred:  

The scope of work associated with this project follows the DTMB SUITE Methodology. This covers the entire software development life cycle to include initiation, requirements, analysis, design, construction, test, implementation, and closeout. This project will not include governance or management.
