As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' mental health status through virtual consultations.
• Developing personalized therapy plans aimed at addressing diverse mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, providing coping strategies and tools to empower clients on their mental health journey.
• Regularly monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, when additional support is required.

You will work with a diverse client population representing various backgrounds, experiences, and mental health challenges. Your role will be critical in addressing conditions such as substance use disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, and stress-related issues. A commitment to understanding cultural nuances and employing culturally competent approaches is essential for effectively serving our clients.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, showcasing your ability to handle a variety of patient situations.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment practices and a deep knowledge of mental health disorders.
• Proven ability to engage with individuals from various cultural backgrounds using inclusive therapeutic methods.

• Experience in delivering crisis interventions and managing high-stress situations effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.
• Competence in using teletherapy platforms, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
