The consultant will be responsible for analyzing business objectives, user requirements, and system limitations to propose automation and improvements. Duties include:
  • Documenting user needs, program functions, and required modifications.
  • Reviewing system capabilities and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of requested changes.
  • Contributing to modernization efforts by analyzing legacy Java EE components (EJB, JPA, SOAP).
  • Supporting application rationalization, transformation planning, and technical walkthroughs.
  • Collaborating with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure interoperability.
  • Assisting in cloud-native migration (microservices, API-driven architectures).
  • Utilizing AI code analysis tools to extract requirements and identify technical debt.
  • Documenting business rules, dependencies, and design patterns.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • 12+ years of deep hands-on Java/Java EE development, including EJB, JPA, SOAP-based services, and legacy code analysis for cloud migration.
  • 12+ years proficiency in Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8, including enterprise-grade deployments.
  • 12+ years experience with object-relational mapping and persistence layer integration.
  • 10+ years collaborating with cross-functional teams (architects, business analysts, security engineers).
  • 8+ years experience with AI code analysis tools for static analysis and pattern recognition.
  • 8+ years familiarity with DevSecOps practices (automated testing, deployment, monitoring).
  • 8+ years exposure to cloud-native strategies (containerization, elastic scaling, loosely coupled interfaces).
  • 8+ years experience with Agile methodologies (sprint planning, backlog refinement).
  • 8+ years strong analytical/problem-solving skills and understanding of software design principles/patterns.
  • 2+ years experience using AI development tools.

Preferred Requirements:
  • 6+ years excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • 6+ years experience with requirement elicitation and documentation.
