Job description

We are looking for a Java Developer to support the analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications. This position will be full-time 1+ year contract and hybrid. Candidates must be currently within a 1-hour commute of Trenton with the ability to work onsite 3-days per week.

What You''ll Do

  • Develop backend services and enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and related technologies

  • Participate in application analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and production support activities

  • Build and maintain server-side rendered user interfaces using Thymeleaf

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria

  • Manage source code and participate in code reviews and branch management activities using Git

  • Build, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps tools, or similar technologies

  • Design, develop, and maintain relational database schemas with an emphasis on normalization, validation, and data integrity

  • Support deployment activities and perform basic server administration functions

  • Contribute to front-end development using HTML and CSS

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issues
