This role is more than just coding. As a senior DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes application development and Gitlab
• Experience designing, implementing, and integrating RESTful or gRPC services
• Experience developing with distributed messaging platforms
• Experience building, deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications in a Kubernetes cluster
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Knowledge of Java and C++ standard libraries, including collection frameworks, concurrency, and I/O operations
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols such as TCP/IP or HTTP, and socket programming
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with combat system development, including sensors or weapons systems
• Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience profiling, tuning, and scaling high-performance distributed systems
• Experience implementing application logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracing with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals Certification
• CompTIA Linux+ Certification
• CompTIA Network+ CE Certification
• CompTIA Project+ Certification
• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
