Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: Long Term

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of professional software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, working knowledge of Golang, hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform), and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java.
  • Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Contribute to application development using Golang where required.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform); AWS experience is acceptable.
  • Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, QA, and DevOps engineers.
  • Troubleshoot application, performance, and production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and engineering best practices.
  • Implement unit and integration testing and contribute to overall application quality.
  • Support application deployment, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern technologies and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Java-based application development.
  • Good experience with Golang (Go).
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform:
    • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) — preferred
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — acceptable
  • Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Git and version control.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
