Job description

The Architect III plans, directs, and coordinates activities of ATL office projects during the pre-construction phase as described below and create design deliverables by managing consultants (architects and engineers).
Job Responsibilities
Marketing
  • Prepare the marketing presentation documents.
  • Updating past project information and Atlanta office brochure.
  • Provides consulting for Japanese-speaking clients for their design needs.

Design
  • Collects all information required for design, translates to English, and distributes to Architects/Engineers.
  • Reviews design outputs provided by Architects/Engineers.
  • Manages design schedule, coordinated with Procurement/Construction team.
  • Directs Revit/AutoCAD-related tasks as needed (drawing, 3D, etc.).
  • Plans design presentation work (including study model, rendering, etc.).

Pre-Construction
  • Initiates bid document preparations with the BD team.
  • Translates client documents (Japanese to English and/or English to Japanese) as needed

Work Experience and Education Requirements
  • Knowledge of architecture and architectural principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of types of building materials and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of the methods and techniques of BIM/CAD design
  • Knowledge of federal and state facility and code requirements.
  • Knowledge of structural, mechanical and electrical engineering relating to building costs.
  • Skill in drafting architectural plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field AND 7-10 years of architectural experience including use of CAD technology. Masters degree in Architecture or related field preferred.
