Job Summary

The Systems Administrator – ERP & Enterprise Applications is responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and optimization of enterprise IT systems that support business operations across U.S. and global offices. This role manages and supports a broad portfolio of business‑critical applications, including ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, business intelligence platforms, manufacturing data systems, collaboration tools, and cloud‑based enterprise applications. The Systems Administrator ensures system reliability, security, integration, and performance while partnering with business stakeholders, engineering teams, manufacturing operations, and global IT organizations. This position supports application enhancements, integrations, upgrades, user access management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enable efficient and scalable business processes.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Application Administration & Support
  • Administer and support enterprise applications, including ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, manufacturing systems, analytics platforms, and other business‑critical software solutions.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings across enterprise applications.
  • Monitor application availability, system performance, and operational health to minimize business disruption.
  • Perform system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, patches, and release management activities.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
ERP & Business Systems Management
  • Support ERP platforms and business modules, including finance, supply chain, inventory, procurement, and manufacturing operations.
  • Configure application workflows, approval processes, and business rules to align with operational requirements.
  • Maintain data integrity across enterprise systems, including master data, user profiles, and system configurations.
  • Partner with business teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Systems Integration & Application Management
  • Manage integrations between ERP, MES, PLM, CRM, databases, and third‑party applications.
  • Support data exchange through APIs, middleware, EDI, and other integration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot data flow, interface, and connectivity issues across enterprise systems.
  • Support reporting, dashboards, analytics platforms, and business intelligence solutions.
IT Infrastructure & End‑User Support
  • Provide technical support for enterprise applications, computers, mobile devices, office technology, and related IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues for end users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain company hardware, software, security tools, and system utilities.
  • Support IT operations across local and global office environments.
Implementation, Enhancement & Project Support
  • Support enterprise application implementations, upgrades, migrations, and system rollouts.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, testing, validation, deployment, and post‑launch support activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, global IT teams, and internal stakeholders on system improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology improvements.
Security, Governance & Compliance
  • Maintain enterprise application security through proper access controls, audit trails, and security practices.
  • Support compliance requirements related to data governance, cybersecurity, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure systems align with company policies and industry standards.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
  • Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and system support procedures.
  • Perform routine system monitoring, maintenance, and backup activities.
  • Support IT asset management and technology lifecycle activities.
  • Assist with vendor management and technical issue resolution.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills
  • ERP Platforms: Hands‑on administration experience with an enterprise ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, or similar). Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Manufacturing Systems: Experience supporting MES, manufacturing applications, production databases, or industrial software environments is a plus.
  • Business Applications: Familiarity with PLM, CRM, collaboration platforms, document management systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Systems Administration: Experience supporting Windows environments, user administration, application configuration, and system troubleshooting.
  • Database & Reporting: SQL, report‑writing tools, and business intelligence/dashboard platforms.
  • Systems Integration: REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and EDI.
  • Security & Access Control: Role‑based access control (RBAC), audit trails, and data privacy best practices.
  • Scripting/Automation (preferred): SQL scripting, PowerShell, or ERP‑native scripting/customization tools.
Certifications (preferred)

ERP‑specific administrator or technical certification (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, SAP Certified Technology Associate, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals/Functional Consultant).

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of experience administering ERP systems, including configuration, support, and user access management.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional business teams (finance, supply chain, operations) to support ERP scaling and enhancements.
  • Prior experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or system migrations preferred.
