Job description

Sales Engineer - Automotive Industry

We're looking for a driven, detail-orientedSales Engineerto join our team supporting Nissan. This role is perfect for someone with experience in automotive parts sales and project management, especially with Japanese automotive background.

You'll play a key role in product development, pricing strategy, cost management, and customer relationship management. This is a hands-on opportunity to lead programs from concept through mass production, working closely with cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and support all phases of OEM automotive part sales-from quoting to delivery
  • Negotiate pricing, cost-downs, and resolve reimbursable cost issues with customers
  • Manage customer communications and expectations, acting as the primary project contact
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and logistics teams to meet customer needs
  • Coordinate with global stakeholders to align on pricing, forecasting, and production
  • Drive regular meetings to track action items and ensure smooth project execution
  • Stay on top of customer demand changes and industry trends

What You Bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience with OEM automotive suppliers (Japanese OEM experience preferred)
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies, quoting, and cost controls
  • Comfort working in bilingual environments (English and Japanese exposure a plus)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and lead meetings confidently
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing and Japanese business culture is a plus
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing preferred

Compensation:$85,000-$91,000 per year (based on experience)
