The Design Engineer II is responsible for working with other leadership members to guide and lead cross-functional teams to execute compliant development, manufacturing, marketing and sales of medical devices. This position is also responsible, with other appropriate teams, for maintaining the APT engineering and quality system and helping to lead the engineering efforts to support the global business. Essential Responsibilities:
* Develops and implements product and process development plans including verification and validation activities to achieve company objectives for products and services
* Helps develop and manage new product development and operational projects for the company
* Direct and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure objectives are met
* Develops requirements and executes equipment installation and qualification plans in collaboration with operations and quality personnel
* Responsible for product design, development and production of catheters and accessories
* Assists other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications
* Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's Degree/Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related highly preferred
* At least 5 years' experience in a Medical Device manufacturing environment preferred
* Experience/knowledge with process validation
* Must possess good project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects
* Must possess good verbal and written communication skills Work Conditions:
