Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to support manufacturing operations by maintaining the performance and reliability of production equipment and facility systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, performing repairs, and executing preventative and predictive maintenance. The role works cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to improve equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and overhaul of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities across production machinery and facility systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues, including PLC programming and relay logic
  • Install and set up new or existing equipment, ensuring proper operation and commissioning
  • Fabricate replacement parts, tools, and fixtures to support equipment repair and modification efforts
  • Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild equipment to identify wear, alignment issues, or component failures
  • Modify and adjust automated and computer-controlled systems, including robotic equipment
  • Work collaboratively with Production Engineers to improve designs and enhance system performance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs related to maintenance work and equipment history
  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing equipment performance and recommending process enhancements
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Journeyman card or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience required (not an apprenticeship role)
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities with automation systems, including PLCs and electronic circuitry
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools common in electrical and mechanical trades
  • Basic proficiency with Windows-based software applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
