Position Summary

Aniplexof America is looking foraorganized anddetailorientedMarketingProjectSpecialistto join our team in Santa Monica, CA.

This rolemanagesmarketing projects across anime production, games, merchandise, and live events.From planning through delivery, this role ensurestimelines,billing, assets,contracts,vendors, andcrosscompanypartnerships are aligned and successfully delivered. This role partners closely with internal teams and external companies to bring anime experiences to fans through campaigns, conventions, and live events.

This positionrequires someonewith excellent communication skills who excels at managing multiple responsibilities with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.Theypossessa strong understanding of asset managementandan understanding of how marketing assets are created, used, and delivered.

The position has a HYBRID schedule. Employees are expected to work onsite in the Santa Monica office at least 2 days per week.

KeyJobResponsibilities

  • Marketing Project Coordination -managetimelines for launches, releases, events, and other campaigns and breaking marketing plans into tasks, dependencies, milestones and tracking progress and follow-through.

  • Maintain a marketing calendar for multiple shows and stay on top of the production schedule to work with various departments on asset creation, delivery, or announcement timing that aligns with overall marketing initiatives if necessary.

  • Communication between marketing (social, PR, paid media), localization, production, and other stakeholders (licensing, product development, vendors, design) to manage approvals and feedback loops.

  • Marketing event planning -logisticsincludingstaffing,reviewing contracts, coordinating titles / IP promotions and messaging, booth layout, sponsorships, vendors, payment schedules, insurance certificates, and cancellation/change penalties. This includespreand on-site requirements for booth builds and signage, materials, giveaways,etc.ensuring localization accuracy, licensor approvals, and brand consistency.

  • Track invoicing and payments, ensuring costs areallocatedto correct IPs and projectsin a timely manner.

  • Effectively communicate andmaintainrelationships internally and with external partners and agencies to ensure creative assets or campaigns are within the brand tone and positioning of the title.

  • Identify, assess, and manage external vendors and partnercompanies,review proposals, decks, scopes of work, and performance.

  • Honesty,trustworthinessand ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined aboveto handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

  • 2+years of relevant experience in marketing or project management,with an understanding of marketing principles, strategies, digital media, and social platforms

  • Project management - comfortable juggling many moving parts without losing detail through clear documentation and follow-through

  • Comfortable reviewing terms, scopes, and deliverables to understand timelines and penalties with contracts and procurement

  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines,billing, invoicing, and other operational details

  • Hands-on experiences with conventions, live events, or experiential marketing.

  • Comfortable with last-minute changes, shifting priorities. Able to adapt and remain calm when thingsdon'tgo according to plan

  • Detail-oriented but big picture aware.Findssatisfaction in making complex projects feel smooth.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability tointerface withvaried levels of management, peers, and partners across various teams with clear and precision communication

  • Self-motivated,a self-starter, confident, organized, withgood timemanagement, attention to detail, and creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace: Calendar, Drive, Forms, Sheets, etc.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc. a plus.

  • Familiarity with anime, games, and fan-driven experiences preferred

  • Japanese-EnglishBilingualskilla plus.

Theanticipatedannual base salary for this position is $75,000 to $85,000.In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of7%.Thisrange does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
