We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our Melville, NY team supporting the greater New York City region. This is a high-activity, phone-based sales role focused on outbound calling, lead qualification, and appointment setting to support our outside sales team.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities by engaging with business decision-makers through outbound calls and lead follow-up. Each day combines structured outreach with strategic follow-up, reaching out to hundreds of prospects and building relationships that create real opportunities. As the first point of contact for many potential clients, you'll play a critical role in positioning Jani-King's services as the trusted solution. Key Responsibilities

Outreach & Prospecting

  • High-Volume Outreach: Proactively connect with targeted businesses across the New York City region through 200 outbound calls each day, consistently meeting or exceeding daily and weekly activity goals.
  • Engage & Qualify Prospects: Connect with decision-makers, introduce Jani-King's services, and determine if they're a good fit for our solutions.
  • Lead Follow-Up: Reach out to prospects from inbound inquiries, marketing campaigns, and networking events to keep the pipeline active.
  • Contribute to Sales Campaigns: Participate in targeted outreach for seasonal promotions and special events.

Appointment Setting & Pipeline Management

  • Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified, high-value appointments for the outside sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all call activity and follow-ups in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team: Align on territory strategies and share lead intelligence with outside sales representatives.
  • Professional Representation: Uphold Jani-King's reputation through courteous, professional, and persistent communication.
  • Results Tracking: Monitor activity against goals, adjusting call strategies to continuously improve results.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior telemarketing, inside sales, or outbound calling experience required
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
