Job description

Position Overview
JAN-PRO of Kansas City is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive new business development throughout the Missouri side of the Kansas City market. This individual will be responsible for generating new commercial cleaning accounts through a consultative sales approach, developing relationships with prospective customers, and delivering customized facility service solutions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of B2B outside sales success, strong prospecting skills, and the ability to manage the full sales cycle-from lead generation through contract execution. This role offers a competitive base salary, uncapped commission potential, company-provided resources, and the opportunity to represent an industry-leading brand.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
  • Generate new business opportunities through a combination of company-provided leads, self-generated prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing new business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, facility managers, and key decision-makers across a variety of industries.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop territory plans to maximize revenue growth.
Account Management & Customer Experience
  • Conduct on-site facility assessments to understand customer needs and recommend customized commercial cleaning solutions.
  • Deliver professional presentations that clearly communicate JAN-PRO's value proposition and service offerings.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to operations following contract execution.
Pipeline Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within the CRM system.
  • Consistently achieve activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, coaching sessions, and ongoing professional development.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and activity reports.

Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of successful outside business-to-business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close new business.
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience selling facility services, commercial cleaning, business services, or other recurring service solutions.
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines and customer relationships.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $50,000 annually
Commission: Uncapped, multi-tiered commission structure based on sales volume and lead source.
