Jackson and Coker is seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in Southern California, working with the county jail's intake psychiatry team. This role involves providing psychiatric emergency and consult services, focusing on medication management and initial evaluations. The position requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, with a strong preference for a minimum 3-month assignment.

Practice Info

  • The intake psychiatry team is similar to psychiatric emergency and consult services.
  • Client uses an electronic medical record system called Cerner.

Responsibilities

  • See a minimum of 1 patient per hour (10 patients = 10-hours).
  • Adhere to county jail protocols for medication management and initial evaluations.

Shift & Schedule
