Jackson and Coker is seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity in a Southern California county jail. This role involves working with the intake psychiatry team, providing essential mental health services in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, focusing on initial evaluations and medication management within the county jail's protocols.

Practice Info

  • Work with the intake psychiatry team at the county jail
  • The intake psychiatry team is similar to psychiatric emergency and consult services
  • Client uses an electronic medical record system called Cerner

Responsibilities

  • See a minimum of 1 patient per hour
  • Adhere to county jail protocols for medication management
  • Adhere to county jail protocols for initial evaluations
