Job Summary
The student work study position in the Alumni Relations and Development Office requires honesty, confidentiality, integrity, dependability, excellent written and verbal communications skills while working with alumni records. The student will assume a position of support for the entire staff of the Alumni Relations and Development Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research MSU Alumni on Linkedin. They will assist with sending them congratulatory notes via Linkedin, suggest content to be shared on Linkedin, and prepared alumni success reports based on their research.
  • Assist with entering information on the records of recent graduates including MSU Foundation scholarship received as a student.
  • Assist with database projects including tracking student organization involvement on recent alumni records.
  • Conduct donor research on unknown donors who give back to MSU at the leadership annual giving level.

  • Must be a current MSU student
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Must feel comfortable performing tasks that are not routine, but rather are more complex in nature

  • Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment such as copier, telephone, etc.
