Job Description Summary
Ivy Tech Community College is looking for individuals to teach a variety of different topics within our non-credit course offerings.
Adjunct Faculty positions are part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis.
Job Description
The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
โ€ข Deliver non-credit classes as assigned.
โ€ข Teach and train classes as assigned in workplace and campus locations within programming designed to meet specific company learning objectives. Teaching and training will utilize contemporary adult learning techniques as are demonstrated in the corporate training arena.
โ€ข Teaching load is dictated by project, or projects, not credit hour production.
โ€ข Work a flexible schedule as dictated by the client company training demand.
โ€ข Maintain records on student attendance, grades, and other information.
โ€ข Develop materials as necessary for the effective delivery of curriculum.
โ€ข Initiate and follow through on evaluation processes that determine the viability of each and every training program delivered.
โ€ข Assist in the identification of facility and equipment needs in the classroom.
โ€ข Participate in training and professional development as needed.
โ€ข Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction. Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.
โ€ข Expertise in topic assigned to be able to convey information effectively
โ€ข Experience with classroom technology as needed
โ€ข Ability to create a learning environment to maintain student success

โ€ข Classes will be taught in-person/on-site. A remote option is NOT available for this position
