Company Description IVORY Licensed Behavior Analyst, PLLC (IVORY LBA) provides compassionate, practical, data-driven Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for schools, families, and agencies across Long Island, New York. The organization emphasizes communication, emotional regulation, and reducing interfering behavior through plans that are usable for real-world teams. IVORY LBA’s mission is to translate ABA into daily practice by co-creating goals, honoring dignity, and building capacity through coaching, parent training, and data-informed support. Services include school-based consultation, ABA and behavioral intervention services, parent training, OPWDD Self-Direction, and professional learning and mentorship for RBTs and BCBAs. Founded by Doreen Ivory, BCBA/LBA, IVORY LBA is committed to bridging research and everyday practice to improve outcomes for children and their support teams.

Role Description The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide direct ABA services to children and adolescents under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst, following individualized treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing behavioral interventions, collecting and recording data on target behaviors and skill acquisition, and supporting communication and emotional regulation goals in school, home, and community settings. The RBT will collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and school personnel, participate in team meetings, and apply feedback to ensure high-quality, dignified care. This is a part-time hybrid role based in Nassau, NY, with services delivered in person across local settings and some work-from-home tasks, such as documentation and virtual meetings, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ability to implement ABA strategies consistently and ethically.
  • Skills in Behavioral Intervention and practical application of psychology principles to support communication, emotional regulation, and reduction of interfering behaviors.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with supervised BCBAs/LBAs, educators, caregivers, and other team members, including clear documentation and professional interactions.
  • Current or eligible Registered Behavior Technician credential, or willingness to obtain RBT certification within a defined timeframe.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs in school, home, or community-based settings.
  • Ability to follow behavior plans, maintain accurate data, accept coaching, and adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Reliable transportation to sites across Nassau, NY, and comfort working in a hybrid model with both in-person and remote responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required & RBT Certification; college coursework or degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
