Job description

We are seeking a registered nurse to assist our client ( Must have in vitro fertilization and/or OB/GYN experience to qualify!ย 

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED

PAY $52.00/HR

Work schedule:ย 35+ hours a week during our operating hours, including 8-hour shifts and weekends as needed. Our office hours are from Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm, and Sat-Sun from 8am-11am.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) opportunity to work alongside an innovative expert physician and team. Your role supports the physician and nursing staff in womenโ€™s health care environment by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks. You will assist the physician(s) in providing informative and effective communication with patients.

Duties and responsibilities:

ยท Complete Case Management of patients using IVF in their journey to build a family

ยท Mapping out pre-cycle testing, projected treatment calendars and education schedules

ยท Patient Education, including the IVF/Fertility preservation process, genetic testing/screening, medication actions and patient self-injection education

ยท Actively managing patientโ€™s treatment protocols and next steps

ยท Explaining available technologies/tests to help the patient make treatment decisions

ยท Phone/portal triage of patient medical complaints and advice and/or action

ยท Charting in EMR and scheduling in an electronic scheduling program

ยท Phlebotomy

ยท Assisting physicians with procedures

ยท Positive interaction with all team members

Coordinate cycles (IVF, ovulation induction, surrogacy)

ยท Coordinating mock cycles

ยท Coordinating meds

ยท Coordinating TUSHY method for patients

ยท Injection instructions video calls with patients

ยท Coordinating FET cycles

ยท Coordinating FDAs

ยท Coordinating egg donation cycles and sperm donor cycles including all screening

ยท Clearly document plan of care with attention to detail using an EMR system

ยท Assist with in-office procedures, administer medications, and perform phlebotomy

ยท Pre-Op patients for surgical procedures such as egg retrievals

ยท Setup equipment/room using sterile/aseptic technique with appropriate instruments or trays

ยท Start IVs (licensed/certified personnel) and management of IV therapy

ยท Correctly prepare lab work/specimens for pick up and the understanding of cleaning, sterilization of autoclaving procedures

ยท Assist physician in providing informative and effective communication with patient

ยท Confirm that patient has appropriate medications/prescriptions

ยท Must be able to communicate orally and in writing

ยท Understand and carry out all functions of the position

ยท Assist and cooperate with administration and supervisors

ยท Interact with other team members in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment

ยท Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of daily work, recognizing that many confidential documents and conversations will need to be relayed

ยท Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the practice operates in an efficient and cost-effective manner

Experience:

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a Nurse in a fertility clinic or Ob/GYN practice.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in California.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills.
