What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IV Nutrition Nurse, and why are they important?

To thrive as an IV Nutrition Nurse, you need a solid background in nursing, expertise in intravenous therapy, and an active RN or LPN license. Familiarity with infusion pumps, sterile techniques, and documentation software is typically required, and certifications such as CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) are often preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication, and the ability to respond calmly in urgent situations are standout soft skills. These competencies ensure safe, effective administration of IV nutrients, enhance patient outcomes, and support high standards of care in clinical settings.

What is IV Nutrition and what does an IV Nutritionist do?

IV Nutrition refers to the administration of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into a person's bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. An IV Nutritionist or IV therapy specialist assesses clients' nutritional needs and administers customized nutrient infusions to support health, recovery, hydration, and wellness. These professionals often work in medical clinics, wellness centers, or spas, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe and effective treatments. Typical goals include boosting energy, improving immune function, and aiding recovery from illness or strenuous activity. IV Nutritionists must have medical training and follow strict safety protocols when preparing and delivering IV therapies.

IV Nutrition nurses often encounter challenges such as managing patients with complex nutritional needs, ensuring proper IV line placement and maintenance, and preventing complications like infections or electrolyte imbalances. About IV Nutrition
IV Nutrition's mission is to empower people to take control of their health through personalized, medical-grade wellness care. We provide direct access to IV nutrient therapy, functional insight, and education that helps clients understand what their bodies need and why - making advanced wellness clear, accessible, and results-driven. Our clinics deliver vitamin, mineral, and nutrient IV drips and injections that help clients improve hydration, energy, immunity, and recovery.

Our Corte Madera clinic is opening soon, and we're looking for an experienced RN to lead it as Clinic Director. This is a leadership role - you will be responsible for running the day to day at the clinic, helping clients understand the IV Nutrition offerings, providing excellent client care, overseeing a team of RNs and IV Techs including coaching and staff scheduling, and hitting revenue targets. You will partner with an Assistant Clinic Director to cover clinic hours. Additional responsibilities such as marketing are flexible based on experience and interest and commensurate with salary. As owners, we will be here to partner with and support you.

  • Ensure smooth daily clinic operations and workflow efficiency
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and resource allocation
  • Maintain consistency in service delivery across all shifts
  • Execute company initiatives, protocols, and process updates

  • Ensure every client receives a high-quality, personalized, consistent experience
  • Drive client retention and repeat visits through exceptional service
  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally
  • Support local marketing efforts and community engagement
Team Leadership & Development
  • Hire, train, and develop clinic staff, building a team culture focused on results, client care, and growth
  • Lead performance through coaching, accountability, and goal setting - addressing issues quickly and partnering with HR on employee relations as needed
  • Recognize and reward high performers and foster a positive team environment people are proud to be part of

What You'll Bring

Experience
  • 2-5 years of vascular access or infusion experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Experience in a client-facing, membership, or wellness setting preferred
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong leadership with a warm, collaborative style
  • Clinically confident and able to mentor others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, adaptable, and decisive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate adaptability and resilience
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Genuine care for clients and team members alike

Good to Know
  • Competitive salary based on scope of responsibilities
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits + paid time off
  • 8-12 hour shifts | Clinic open 7 days a week | No overtime
  • 2-4 weekend shifts per month based on staffing
  • 5-day required onboarding training in Kansas City or Fort Collins

Is This Role for You?
This is a real leadership role - you'll be running the clinic floor, managing your team, and making sure every client leaves feeling cared for. It takes clinical confidence, warmth, and the kind of steady leadership that keeps a team and a clinic performing well day after day.
In return, you'll have a competitive salary that reflects what you take on, benefits, a beautiful clinic environment, and collaborative owners who are invested in your success and the success of the clinic.
