Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay Rate: $28.00 Hourly

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Shift: M-F Start time 4:00pm - finish

Needed flexibility to work additional hours and holidays based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a semi-trailer/tractor unit with gross vehicle of 100,000 lbs
  • Responsible for the safe and reliable transport of Primo Water products to company pre-assigned distribution points
  • Operate forklift safely to unload and reload trailer with company products.
  • Act as a team player by supporting the team with decisions and helping others when needed
  • Ensuring vehicle meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and company standards.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Understanding of load and freight weight requirements.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and plant personnel
  • Complete all DOT required documents and reports following required laws and standards
  • Ability to manage and track inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and company operating requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
  • Maintain accurate driving logs, inventory, and records
  • Be courteous, outgoing, and always maintain a professional image
  • Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport
  • Understand and maintain load and freight weight requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Transportation Manager

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Minimum two years’ experience driving tractor/trailers and tankers OTR.

  • Ability to use a handheld device and application systems.

  • Valid CDL Class A license (Doubles endorsement required)

  • Must be able to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration driver qualifications including pre-trip and post-trip requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret information such driving routes, safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to safely lift up to 66 pounds.

  • Repetitive motion when loading and securing products in trailer.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer/data entry skills and basic math skills proficiency.

  • Ability to drive tractor/trailer in all weather conditions (snow chain driving experience may be required for some locations).

  • Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, climb ladders, walk all day, and move/lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in several types of weather
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently
