POSITION SUMMARY:
Person in this position will be responsible for the data management needs of the agency. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • The entry of data into the computer system including:
  • Participant Service Verifications.
  • Participant Profiles.
  • SAP/DMC Contact Verifications.
  • DMC billing for several counites
  • Learn several counties EHR system.
  • SASCA/DMC/other contracts Contact Logs.
  • SASCA/DMC/other contracts Authorization for Participant Services.
  • Admits and Discharges from Providers.
  • PSN Verifications of Treatment.
  • Monthly invoice generation including getting provider approval.
  • Weekly Service Verifications faxed to providers for approval.
  • Receive faxes and other correspondence and distribute to appropriate party.
  • Researching and fixing of any error in data that may occur.
  • Assist with any computer problems that may arise.
  • Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Valid Class C driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required, Class B driver's license is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CDCR Clearance.
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • One (1) year data entry experience.
  • High School diploma or its equivalent is required.

  • Not applicable for this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work is performed primarily in an office, residential, or outpatient setting.
